Asian Sticky Sweet Prawns
Fancy a fix of sweet Asian flavours when you’re in a hurry? These sticky sweet prawns come in a tasty glaze you’ll love, and with Homemakerz Sticky Sweet Sauce, you can have them ready to enjoy in less than 25 minutes. The mildly spicy, sweet and sticky glaze is too good to resist!
1. Prawns (500 Grams, Cleaned &Deveined)
2. Cornflour (1 Tablespoon)
3. Cornflour Slurry (2 Tablespoons)
4. Homemakerz Sticky Sweet Sauce (100 Grams)
5. Oil for frying
6. Butter (1 Teaspoon)
7. Onion (1 Big Sliced)
8. Crushed Garlic (4-5 Cloves)
9. Spring Onion Head (1-2 Finely Chopped)
10. Spring Onion Greens & Sesame Seeds for garnish
11. Green Chilies (1-2 Finely Chopped)
Step 1. Clean and devein the prawns and marinate in 4-5 tablespoons of Homemakerz Sticky Sweet Sauce for 3-4 hours for the flavours soaks in and absorb well.
Step 2. Add cornflour to the marinade and mix the prawns well. Add 2-3 teaspoons of water to make a batter like consistency.
Step 3. Heat oil in a wok. Drop the prawns into hot oil and deep fry, till crisp and golden in colour.
Step 4. Take them out on a wire rack.
Step 5. In a pan add 1 teaspoon of butter and add crushed garlic.
Step 6. Once it turns golden, add onions, spring onions, green chillies and some spring onion greens. Toss on high flame.
Step 7. Add 4-5 tablespoons of Homemakerz Sticky Sweet Sauce and mix well. Add the fried prawns to the mixture and toss on high flame.
Step 8. Now add the cornflour slurry so that the prawns are coated well in the sauce.
Step 9. Garnish with spring onion greens & sesame seeds and serve hot. Tastes delicious on a bed of rice or noodles.
