Curd Rice

Curd rice is a popular and tasty South Indian dish that is served with a South Indian thali or meal. Curd rice is nothing but curd (yogurt) mixed with cooked rice, herbs and then tempered with Homemakerz Malgai Podi Masala.

Ingredients


  1. Rice (1/2 cup)

  2. Water (1 1/2 cup)

  3. Curd (1 1/2 cup or more to taste)

  4. Salt to taste

  5. Homemakerz Malgai Podi Masala (2 tablespoons)

  6. Mustard Oil (1 teaspoon)

  7. Dry Red Chillies (2)

  8. Curry Leaves (1 sprig)


Method


Step 1. Wash & cook the rice in a pressure cooker.

Step 2. When the pressure releases, take out the rice & mash it lightly. Cool the rice completely.

Step 3. Add curd & salt to the cooled rice.

Step 4. Heat oil in a pan, add the dry red chillies, curry leaves & Homemakerz Malgai Podi Masala.

Step 5. Pour the tempering on the curd rice. Serve it chilled.
