These savory, Japanese-inspired teriyaki mushrooms are a quick and easy vegetarian weeknight dinner. They're light, healthy and filling, plus one-pan! Just need a bottle of Homemakerz Teriyaki Sauce to get it right.
Ingredients
1. Homemakerz Teriyaki Sauce (4 tablespoons)
2. Mushrooms (500 grams)
3. Onion (2 medium)
4. Green Chilies (1-2)
5. Butter (1 tablespoon)
6. Salt to taste
7. Homemakerz Red Chili Sauce (1 teaspoon)
8. Cornflour Slurry (2-3 tablespoons)
9. Spring Onion & Sesame Seeds to garnish
Method
Step 1. Clean and remove the stems of the mushrooms.
Step 2. Slice the onions
Step 3. Finely chop the green chilies
Step 4. In a pan add butter, let it brown. Then add the onions and green chilies and sauté on high flame till the onion slightly changes colour.
Step 5. Add the mushrooms and cook on medium high heat for 8-10 minutes, till the mushrooms are soft.
Step 6. Mix in Homemakerz Teriyaki and Homemakerz Red Chili Sauces and stir in with the mushrooms. Add more Homemakerz Teriyaki Sauce according to taste.
Step 7. Adjust the salt as per taste.
Step 8. Add 2-3 tablespoons of corn flour slurry, just enough to coat the mushrooms.
Step 9. Garnish with chopped spring onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot, as a delicious snack or a side dish with rice.
